There is always a place for checkered fabrics in my heart and in my closet. That is why I did not think twice when I saw this fabric – a fine blend of wool and cotton – from the makers of the Liberty fabrics.

A classic “chemise de bucheron” (a french name for a checkered shirt) was a straightforward choice. To add a little extra twist, I turned to my pile of beautifully aged old jeans and used them for the details of the collar, the front bands, the top detail of cuffs and for a small pocket.

I used 1,5m of checked flannel and 0,5 of old jeans.
