My first bash at the Georgia dress from By Hand London. Usually I can get away without tweeking the pattern, but I think this one needs a few tweeks. Maybe a SBA and a bit more taking in at the side seams. The fabric was a stretchy cotton, so perhaps that’s the problem. The bodice is fully lined with the same material and hand sewn with a blind slip stitch, which I now enjoy doing. The pieces went together perfectly first time and the online sew along was very helpful.
Loved making this, so will try it again, perhaps with the other version.
