I’ve been dreaming for a long time to sew an oversized coat, I wanted to be on trend and see if “menswear style” suits me, though I prefer clothing that accentuates the shape.
The colour is very bright juicy red. Fabric (soft blend of wool and cashmere), purchased from Sergio, is completely interfaced, as it were the production remnants of the famous fashion house. For the lining I’ve chosen beautiful checked silk taffeta.
I liked this oversized coat for its voluminous siluette and simple lines, interesting back vent. I’m not excited about sleeves, as they are too narrow in the bottom. This oversised coat is the most difficult thing I have ever made, and I am so proud that I’ve finally finished it, despite tiredness and taking care of two-month baby. More pics on my blog
