To tell you the truth, I don’t remember how this project started. Somehow my husband mentioned that he wants a Carrick, and I needed another tailoring project to push me to learn. So, quite a while later, here are the results. I started with a conventional pattern, and made a bunch of modifications to collar, cuff, back pleats, added full lining, and welt pockets, and tried to tailor the sleeve heads, canvas, and collar roll line. Much fitting and adjusting to fit him as well. My husband is really pleased to have something truly fitted to him, and he loves the style of the final product. I credit my tailoring books, and some Craftsy courses as inspiration and instruction. I’m also very happy to be done. Next up: A bodice sloper for me!
