After many google searches for an original costume, I came up with the idea of making a muscle suit and dress as Johnny Bravo. This is not much sewing, but it is easy and fast.
The muscle suit is made with a layer of a sheer shirt to which foam muscles are glued with rubber cement (it is very important to cover your skin with plastic wrap before doing so). Another layer of sheer shirt was placed on top and stitched around the muscles to give definition (with a Zig Zag stitch). Most of it was made by hand.
Another two sheer shirts were placed on top to hide the color of the foam that showed through.
On top, there’s a simple black T shirt as the character wears.
The wig is made out of EVA foam, hot glued and iron molded. A coat of PVA to make it a little stiff, another coat Acrylic resin on top to let the spray paint stay and final touches made with several colors of sharpies.
Jeans and sneakers complete the costume.
It is kinda hot to wear, but totally worth it. ;)
