I have a weak spot for floral fabrics, so of course I bought this stretchy fabric on the weekly ‘Lapjesmarkt’ in Utrecht in the Netherlands 2 years ago. I didn’t buy that much (only 160 cm), so I was rather limited with patterns I could use with it. I loved the pattern of this dress, but it didn’t ask for a stretch fabric, so it was the first time that I went against the rule “don’t use stretch fabrics when the pattern doesn’t ask for it”. It was way too wide around my arms, chest and waist, but after I corrected for that, I was pretty happy with the result. I have a lot of fitted dresses and this is a nice alternative dress for when I’m not in the mood for high heels and classy style. Easy pattern, I did topstitch the green bands because they would otherwise never stay in place.
