I made this sundress from a vintage McCall’s #6261, year 1962. The fabric is a Tim Holtz “Bouquet” printed fabric in 100% cotton, with the straps in a dusty olive green ‘linen-look’ fabric leftover in my scrap bin from another past project. The straps sit far over by the arm and are shaped like a half circle to accommodate staying on the shoulder – very smart. The front is an asymmetric “mock-wrap”, highlighted by matching olive green piping, which also goes along the top bodice edge. There is wonderful shaping here…the dress is very fun to wear and perfect for looking nice while staying cool in the heat!
