I like Parisian chic and admire Chanel fashion very much. Do you know the movie “The devil wears Prada”? I admired character Andie’s Tweed newsboy cap and wanted such a cap for myself. I got a Vintage pattern from McCall’s for this and decided to have a try on sewing this cap. It worked very well, I had fun in spite of all these small pattern pieces, except keeping an eye on piecing the checkered pattern right, there was nothing difficult in this project. The Tweed fabric is from Linton Tweeds England. As I got remnants left, I pimped up an old denim jacket. I did not like it anymore because it looked boring and needed some embellishment, I gave it a boxy cut and embellished it with self-made border, new pocket flaps and designer buttons. Will sew this cap again, with black Tweed.
