This summer is shaping up to be really hot in Sydney. It’s not even officially summer yet and we’ve had about four days over 35C and one over 40C (95F and 104F respectively), so it’s time for some makes that suit this heat.
The fabric is a very stretchy rayon jersey from Spotlight, and the pattern is Simplicity 2261. The yoke piece was a bit fiddly, because interfacing is only applied to the facing, not the main fabric, but it pulled a litle out of shape. I did a bit of hand basting, though, and was able to get it to fit.
The loose fit of the top means it picks up any bit of breeze and circulates air around the body, which is great on stinking hot days!
