I finally got a chance to post a project. These are jeans with a kind of trouser look. I drafted this pattern myself and have made so many adjustments to it over the last two years. Commercial pattern pants have always resulted in huge disappointments for me in regards to fit. I gave up sewing pants for more than 20 years. Then recently, I got on a mission to finally make something that fit. I bought several books on pants fitting, which led to more disappointments. Finally, I bought a book on pattern drafting and after many iterations, I at last have something that fits reasonably well.

I look terrible in skinny pants, so these have a kind of 70’s flair. The fabric is a very nice quality twill from the thrift store that was an ugly peachy yellow color. I dyed it a light brown with subtle tie dye pattern that doesn’t show up too well in the pictures.
