Do you have one of these? A Karlstad footstool? Is your slipcover old and crusty? Make a new one for the cost of only 2 yards of fabric! I rarely throw away a piece of IKEA furniture just because the slipcover is dingy. Recently IKEA has begun to phase out the Karlstad collection.

I guess it’s inevitable. All good things must come to an end. But that’s bad for me since I have a very large IKEA Karlstad sectional and matching ottoman which are structurally just fine but are in desperate need of new covers which IKEA no longer sells.
So I decided to take apart the IKEA ottoman cover and make myself a new cover for a fraction of what it would have cost to buy a new one anyway. After I took it apart I made the pattern for you! In case you too have a Karlstad footstool and are in need of a new cover too.
