The moment I saw the Chanel catwalk show featuring their hidden corset signature look, I had to try making one of the amazing suits.
This is, in fact, my second attempt at making a three piece. This time the corset was made from scratch, fully lined and finished with cotton encased boning and elastic lace.
The top was made based on a Vogue vintage pattern (the front panel and button variation); the skirt was also based on a vintage pattern which I modified by adjusting the length, front pleats to fit over the corset.
The boucl fabric I used is a bit soft and I wish it were more responsive, however loads of ironing solved the problem in the end!
