Here is Burda’s retro styled “Jackie Dress” (#116) that I sewed using a novelty textured knit. It was as much fun to make as it is to wear! I love the comfort and styling to this dress. The novelty knit is mirror-image reversible, so I used the one side of the fabric for the main body of the dress, and the other side of the fabric for the attached back belt. Using my “normal” Burda size, it fits me great, and other than moving the belt down slightly so it would be just above my waist (rather than the empire placement of the original), I did not change anything. Would recommend this dress! It has a definite late 60’s to early 70’s flair.
