My sister wanted a cotton beach wedding dress that was somewhat modest since she recently recovered from surgery that would be stylish and unique. After a 2-inch tall stack of design drawings, this is the beautiful result. She made her own hair accessory out of the same lace in the dress and I made the belt for her as well. I was a little leery of posting this because even though she looked great in the end, I’m not totally happy with the fit (she insisted on a non-slippery cotton lining against the swiss dot cotton).
I also designed and made the maid of honour’s dress, it has a little different neckline and hemline and I didn’t add the pleats but the basics are the same. I was a little smarter with the construction of the back cutout since I made this dress second (pieced it as a yoke rather than as part of the back of the dress) but sadly I don’t have any photos.
