Tassel loafers are hip this season, I saw at Jimmy Choo’s collection men’s “Foxley” loafers with mismatching passement tassels, immediately I thought “what a cool Do-it-yourself idea!” I had these dull ponyhair slippers that needed a little embellishment, they were perfect for my tassel project. You can use all loafers with a high vamp. I punched 2 holes into each vamp, where I can mount the hanging tassels. To make those, was quite easy: I cut fringes into a double layered piece of leather, rolled it and fixed it with glue – a long leather ribbon included. Wrapping a small leather stripe around – cut with the pinking scissors and punched in open-work – brings a hint of “Oxford” style. They give my fall outfits a nice bold kick in my favourite colors.

I show pictures of how making these tassels at my blog:

One of my blog readers told me that would be a cool idea for boots, too (not tried yet)

Have a nice day,
