I liked the Burda original, but thought a drapier fabric might work better for us non-models. So I chose georgette for the main fabric. The lace is leftover from the self-drafted ‘straight’ skirt shown in one of the photo. Being a big thrifty I pieced small off-cuts together instead of cutting it as one piece. Spray starch helps a lot with sewing the silk georgette on the bias. In retrospect maybe the lace is a bit too heavy for the georgette. The top keep pulling towards the front.
