Over a year ago, my mother-in-law showed me a dress that she wanted me to replicate, but the whole thing kind of got swept under the rug and was forgotten . . . until now! I thought it would make an awesome Mother’s Day gift to make her a dress kind of like the one she used to have. Because I couldn’t take her measurements, I just took the measurements from a size chart from a company where I know what size she wears through them. It is a shift dress with french darts made with a ponte knit and back invisible zipper. I added an embroidery to the dress because I had the ability to. I thought the simple flower outline would give the dress character without throwing it off balance.
