Description
I made the Zoe dress over a year ago (see the earlier project in my studio) but I have hardly worn it. I was always a bit self conscious about where the drop waist sat on my hips and about the length of the bodice. Disappointing because I loved the fabric. This fall I realized that I had enough fabric left over to cut a whole new skirt and after my success with the Angela Kane Pinafore dress I thought that I’d re-do the Zoe. So I chopped off the bodice at the waist, put in a waist band and used the Pinafore pattern for a new skirt. I’m really happy with the result. I think it’s more flattering on me and has a cute retro kind of vibe.
Material Notes

This is so nice and looks perfect on you. I too love the fabric and I think you should be very pleased with your remake. How satisfying that must be.

I always love it when a project can be salvaged for another one that ends up working out. Great dress!

Glad you were able to salvage it! Sometimes those second-go-rounds give much better results.
