Burda Style For people who sew
Description
In preparation for Fashion Night Out (2011), I made this tank to create a marketing postcard for ZE Menswear. Using a beautiful black & white striped fabric, I incorporated a perpendicular striped band at the base and applied a graphic periwinkle arrow on the side for a splash of color. The periwinkle fabric is actually a larger stripe on the fabric that I abstracted. The best part of this tank is the zipper detail around the neck. It adds a great industrial detail and create a “jewelry” type effect without being so obvious.
I found my gorgeous model using Craiglist. He’s really handsome!

Yes. It’s a pattern I drafted myself. Tanks are very easy to make. They are pretty boxy. Give it a try & let me know if I can help.
