Description
I made these three (the third one, actually the first one, is the one with daisy print oilcloth) inspired by Box-shaped make up bags by xnickerxje – http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/box-shaped-makeup-bags
i made the floral one, and about ten coworkers asked me to sew one for them too (grr…): one gave me two zippers (old, recycled separating zippers, soooooooo easy to sew in these kind of projects) and one provided about two yards of denim from his parents’ closed pants factory, so this two generous people will be the first to get their bags :)

I like these a lot! I’ve been trying to figure out how to make a man’s shaving bag. Do you have a pattern or instructions that I can have/buy?

I don’t have a pattern, I’ve just followed an ‘how-to’ (follow the link above). the pattern is basically a rectangle, 40×30cm for the big size and 35×40cm for the small one. Put the zipper on the short sides, sew the longer sides together, than sew the 4 angles to get the boxy shape :) …pretty easy.

I love them- especially the denim. What a brilliant idea you had to add the tabs!!!! I bet it is so much easier to open/close them with the tabs to hold onto.

Yes! you’re right.. i added them because mine is without and I miss them badly… I also use tabs to give a different touch to the bags, since one is for a young man and one is for a girl :)
