New York, New Yo...
Recently I made a full-length, zip-up jumpsuit that fits me for my patternmaking class (see in photos). My two-year-old asked me over and over to make her one exactly the same. Since I won’t be wearing mine except on Halloween, I figured it was OK for us to have matching floral-print jumpsuits. (Don’t judge!) It’s much cuter on her anyway. I drafted the pattern for this myself, but it’s pretty easy: just put together your pants and bodice slopers, add ease through the waist, drop the shoulder a bit, add a convertible collar, a waistband and some elastic, plus pockets…she loves it. The proof: it’s already covered in dirt, grass stains and chocolate. She has already asked me for another, in yellow.
