This is one of my pieces from the Austin Eco Fashion Show March 25. There’s a side show with some of the items from the show on Facebook. This dress is made of recycled denim with zip front, recycled aluminum bunny punch flowers stitched with denim thread, and lined bodice. I modified the Laura to make the bodice.

This is much cuter—if more risqué—than the original Laura dress. Did you do any other mods to the bodice except change the center for the zip?

The skirt I drafted myself. size was off, as well,so I had to cut the top down. The muslin for size 36 measured 40 in at the bust, had to shave quite a bit off.

This is wonderful! But dangerous, never wear a dress like this around tipsy people… they might want to do something with that zipper. But so lovely! Truly great inspiration.

It’s actually top stitching with denim thread. I did some pillow production for Levis and got 4 spools of their thread out of the gig.

Beautiful – you’ll have to forgive the rating of 4, it’s meant to be five but it looks like I didn’t have my mouse over the fifth circle properly.
Great choice of fabric for reflecting the Autumn theme. Also love the detailing on the sides, squeezing in the waist to create contrast in forms, well done!
