Description

In an attempt to use up some extra stretch knit I had I modified Butterick’s 5497 pattern. I didn’t have enough fabric from my left over from my dress to make a proper shirt from the pattern, so I made due with what I had and I quite like the outcome. This was my first time purposely manipulating a pattern, I’m pleased it turned out so well. I do wish I had a serger to help with the stretch of the fabric, but oh well. If wishes were horses, right?

Thank you, I spent a few weeks eyeing up the fabric before I bought it. Well worth the money I spent on it.
