I had to buy this fabric as soon as i saw it. But I only bought a metre coz i initially planned to make a top out of it. At home i changed my mind and made this dress…. the pattern is inspired from various other paneled dresses, but altered to my liking… I had bought black polyester fabric to emblemish the top that i had initially planned, but decided to make side panels out of it.. half way through the thinking process, I realized that instead of the black polyester, I cud use two-way stretch jersey that i had leftover from another dress, which will solve a lot of fitting issues… and it did. Because of the stretch jersey, dress was easy to slip into and I dint even need to unzip the invisible zipper that i had stitched at center back,so i removed it and just sewed seams down. i just used one panel each for each side….so a super easy dress that i finished in a day. the armholes, the necklines are sewed using the all-in-one facing technique, but with little modifications, dress is not lined, two bust darts…. have some hand sewing to be done to the neck and arm-hole facing but i wanted to get pictures first..
