An animal print oven mitt looked really cute to me and I had wanted to use a zebra print for something.
I made it with really thick batting and two layers of the heatproof fabric used on ironing boards (sorry, don’t remember what it’s called). The mitt is nicely insulated but it was hard to sew through all those layers. I ended up sewing the entire mitt by hand. It was fun but maybe too much work to make another one :)
I added a blanket stitch on the inside seams to keep them neat (see photo #2)
