Two t-shirts made from Sewaholic’s Renfrew pattern. I had seen this made on a blog (forget which now) and thought it would look good on me. Thanks goodness for online ordering, the pattern only took a week to get to me!
I was going to do some stash busting on this one, and used a fine bamboo jersey in a gorgeous blue I had bought last year, I had just enough! The jersey behaved itself brilliantly and the pattern was a doddle – seriously. In 2.5 hours I had a complete new t-shirt (includes cutting out). I used the cowl pattern for the blue jersey, but it isn’t really a cowl, more like an oversized polo neck on a scooped neckline. But I love it!
Encouraged by how quickly this went together, I busted out the jersey stashobx and pulled out a John Kaldor black and white print I bought from a Sewing for Pleasure splurge. This jersey has a viscose & elastene content, and the difference shows! The only thing different about this one is the neck. I used view A, same scoop as the cowl but with the neck bound instead of that big polo collar.
I love this pattern! Daughter no 2 has already pulled out another 2 pieces of jersey from the box, and I just know Daughter no 1 will not be far behind. Best thing about the pattern?? Sizes are 0 to 16 (American) which means that I can use it for me and the skinnie minnies I live with. Also, the sleeve lenghts are completely interchangeable, we can have a whole wardrobe of fun here!
