Description

this was another of the Lekala patterns. Made a stupid mistake though be not measuring the pattern properly first and the length was far to short for my taste so I added a yellow band. For speed I just did that as one strip, but in hindsight I wished I had made it seamed like the main part of the dress at the sides.

Had to do a fair bit of work on the collar with hand stitching to make it lie right.

I really love this one. Buttons on the back different from front as I didn’t have enough and nowhere to buy big ones here! First time doing pockets and belt loops.

All in all very pleased with it. http://www.lekala.co/catalog/dresses/4106#model

Cute. If you made the collar white, it would be a candy corn dress!

Yes I was lucky I had a couple of those yellow zips so it worked out well. I am quite into these colour block type dresses anyway so I am pretty happy with the result!

Thanks Ellen. Definitely one of my favourites too. Wore it for the first time today for work and colleagues couldn’t believe I made it myself! :)

Hi, I’m kinda new here and would like to know how to view the sewing instructions. Thanx! Great job by the way.

Hi there. I’m new too actually! But this project came from a pattern by Lekala which I linked to. Her patterns can be bought online then you print at home and cut out. The best thing is that they are to your own exact size measurements. Good luck
