Yamamoto Cape from SHOWstudio. A favourite piece, really easy to make and easy to wear. I plan on making more :D
Sorry pictures aren’t great quality.
Additional pics: I have tried to show the front piece (blue outline) and back piece (red outline)
black cotton/spandex

Hi Mari-wa! Let’s see, maybe I will do a how-to! Sleeve hems first (back piece between B and D). Then the dart on the back. Sew the sleeve seams D-C to B-A as per instruction sheet. Front piece, turn down the short ends and hem. Front piece, fold lengthwise wrong sides together. Match front to back. Imagine the dart on back piece is centre back neck, the front piece goes around and to the back but doesn’t join up quite like a circle, it finishes at the little edges opposite the back dart. I have added an extra picture to try and demonstrate. Well that’s my interpretation anyway!

looks very nice! i have also wanted to make this for some time, but there are things i don’t understand about the pattern.. maybe you can help me? does the front piece go all the way to the back and end up like a circle? i don’t understand where the yellow part ends. this is a bit difficult to explain..haha.. i’m kind of confused, but i hope you are not. :-) m

Hi! Thanks for the great comments! EmilyKate, I started with the back piece first – this part is also the sleeves, then the front piece is folded in half and is the ‘collar’ and front part. Maybe that helps?

Really cool. It’s really funny, i also downloaded this pattern, as well as the alexander mcqueen jacket. Seeing your creations is really cool and gives me the push to try it in my upcoming free time. Again, you did wonderful jobs, i love your colourchoice and the way it fits you!!

I’m impressed! I had plans to make this at one stage, had the pattern downloaded and everything, then looked at the thing and could for the life of me figure out how it was to be put together. So kudos to you!
