New York, New Yo...
I had the idea for this while still living in Brazil, some 12 years ago. I had a seamstress make me the jacket and give me a pattern for bell sleeves because I couldn’t sew beyond an A-line skirt . Then I set off to make some 2 million yo-yos to fill that pattern (actually, around 500 if I remember correctly)! I started in Brazil and finished in the US. I love the way it turned out, and how it became a project that made me feel at home when living abroad. The sleeves are not lined so you can peek through the spaces in between the yo-yos and see what’s underneath.
It was a conversation piece in the NY subway whenever I wore it :D
Plan a weekend getaway in these sweater dresses and furry accessories.
