This was my first time ever of making a pair of pants (shorts,) that don’t have elastic at the top. :) It’s pretty exciting. I used the Built by Wendy 3850 pattern. I was lost in the pattern for about ¾ of the time. I messed up quite a bit, but I’m pretty happy with the way they turned out. The sweater I refashioned to fit me….XXL in men’s isn’t really my size.
My photos were inspired by Whinne the Pooh.

I love the Whinnie the Pooh theme, so cute! The shorts are amazing as well! Love the colour, so pretty :). I love the way you have refashioned the sweater, looks good! I;ve never made shorts before but this has inspired me!

Amazing as always!! You’ve inspired me to take a stab at making my own shorts since I recently acquired some fabric of the same color, except i’m gonna attempt making them off the top of my head. I’m really lost when it comes to patterns…. =S Your shoes remind me of a more vintage pair of Fred Perry’s – really cute!

Um I don’t know the name of them actually. I got them at Goodwill for a $1. Thanks. Yeah there’s a pretty nature preserve close to my house. I go there sometimes to take pictures.

Goodwill is one of the best places isn’t it? =)
haha
I go there a lot.
I got a pair of black victorian style boots there for $6.
Keep up the good work =)
God bless

sweet shorts, sweet shoot! nobody can resist yellow shorts and a pot of honey.
how did you find the sizing on the pattern? I’ve been soured on the bbw patterns due to all the sizing problems I’ve had, but I like these shorts a lot!

Thanks. I know right.
It wasn’t too bad. I just made them 4 sizes bigger then what I actually wear and they fit pretty nice. I do that on all the BBW patterns. They’re always to small.

Nice shorts (and great pictures as always)! I’d heard bad things about that pattern, but yours turned out wonderfully well :)

Hey these are cool… I was thinking Winnie the Pooh before I read your post. :-) I’m sooo scared of making trousers and shorts… (aka pants to you)… was it tricky?? I’m odd shaped so I think I would have troubles… jean shopping for me is like some sort of medieaval torture!! Any tips?

Cool, that’s what I wanted. YES it was a pain. but once you get past the crotch area it get’s easier. I would make the first pair of pants with a fabric you don’t care for, because you can work out all the kinks on that. Then the second time you’ll know what to do and it will be easier.

Cool… I’m going to be brave and give it a go soon I think :-)

Very cute! Incidentally I was about to make a pair of shorts from the same pattern. What did you find difficult about it? Any tips? =)

Thanks. The crotch was a pain and the pockets. Make sure you mark all the dots. That’s what I forgot, so I was lost and had to go back and remark them. Hope it works out for you. : )
