Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Pattern used for this dress was McCall’s M4769. The fabric was a steal for a $1.50/yard at the trusty Wal-Mart.
The collar was something I ran in to a problem with. I had to undo the whole thing but it was not a difficult fix. Other than that the pattern was really easy to follow.
It looks similar to my other project Yellow Makes Me Happy Dress but I actually love this one because it’s a little less full around the hips and the color is a bit more muted. I’ve been wanting to make a shirt dress for the longest time. I think this one turned out okay.
Material Notes
2 yards of gingham, thread, 6 5/8" buttons, 1 yard of interfacing, and 1 yard of white cotton for lining.

Perfect! I wish I could sew like this. I love yellow, gingham and shirt dresses so this is great. Good job, I would definitely buy this if I saw it in a store.

Beautiful dress! Gotta love those $1.50 fabrics. I agree with gentlegemdesignes, I wish our walmart would bring back the fabric. They had some really great things at good prices. We also lost our Joann’s!
