Yellow silk dupion corset. very loosely based (at the front) on Butterick B4254, View D but very heavily modified by me. Made to complement the stunning millinery of Le Hat Noir (http://www.myspace.com/lehatnoir).
This corset was made for another model but we swapped them all around on the day. It is actually miles too big for the model (you can see this especially at the hip) but I think that we got away with it. I also ran out of busks so just used a short one and pinned the front. Still have to put a couple of grommets there so I can add a ribbon closure for the top. Was shut with a pin for the show!!
Gorgeous yellow/white shot silk dupion outer shell, 2 layers of white corset coutil lining/interlining, black Prym 5mm grommets, black duchesse satin binding, black lace trim with black/white/gold jaquard ribbon between. Steel boning and busk.
Flirty dresses, a cropped cami, and glam trousers for modern flappers.
