A muslin which I’ll probably end up wearing. I wouldn’t normally choose to wear yellow given my non-existent skin tone. Came out very tight on the bust (am size 40) so I did a hack job on the facings and took out the side seams at the bust. Fits fine now, cool and comfy.
Ignore the bra straps, which is something I’m going to have to tell everybody who sees me in this top.
an old sheet.

i love that color! i am also a redhead and have always been hesitant to wear yellow due to my pasty-weird skintone. but eventually i said screw it and i wear it often…i just wear darker stuff with it to balance it out….i think it works?? anyway, i love this top!

super, super, cute.
Did you create your own pattern for it or did you use an existing one?

Having just completed this pattern myself, I know what you mean. I had to re hash some of it, to make it fit!! Love the Colour, looks great!!

I think that colour suits you fine. And if you like it, just wear it…no matter what these ‘style guides’ tell you ;-) Lovely top too, did you design it yourself? You’ve given me an idea to do a similar design when upstyling an old t-shirt. Thanks! Though I’ll need to keep the bra strap thing in mind. Would a convertable bra worn in a halter way sort that out?

crisscross bra straps would work. Also there is something called Strap Perfect that clips the straps of a regular bra together in the back. I have seen variations of this bra strap clip in stores and on TV.
