Yes, I really want to post made-from-scratch garments here, rather than my recycling projects. The problem is that I don’t have much time, and I – wrongly! – think, upcycling takes less time, so it’s the only thing I’ve been doing lately. This one turned out really nice though, so I want to share…
It was an old shirt from my husband and a pair of 7/8 pants – the worst length on my body! – that had almost identical colors. The pant legs turned into the sleeves… For more making-of pictures, please visit me at Of Dreams and Seams

Yes very cool. I also have a collection of old denim things that I want to make into a dress. I am the reverse of you and think upcycling will take me lots more time. So thank you for the inspiration.

I don’t think you should think like that! up cycled garments take just as much time if not more effort because you have to be truly creative to think up an awesome way to up cycle it. This dress is so cute! I hope you post more up cycled stuff. The world needs more people to think this way instead of constantly using new resources and filling landfills with the old. ANYWAY… sorry about my ramble. The dress looks great and I love how you styled it!

Thank you so much!!! Yes, I absolutely agree about the resources etc, that’s why I am really into up cycling and making things without having to spend a cent :-) Not so much because of the money, but because of valuing the many, many things we already have around us, instead of throwing them away… See, now it’s ME who’s rambling. :-)))
