I completely fell in love with this material when I saw it. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it too. I drafted the pattern from scratch (not that it was particularly difficult) but had trouble finding lining which matched – turns out I have lots of cream and off-white linen, but not this white-white. It was interesting sewing on the handles (I only accidentally sewed the bag together once), I sewed them onto the outside, then sewed on the lining (having to pin the handles down so they didn’t get in the way). Next time I’d probably sew the handles on the outside of the bag before I sewed it together (would create a nicer finish on the bottom). But overall, fairly proud of my work!
1/4m of white cotton, some white linen scraps I found at an op shop, 2m of white webbing
