I desperately needed a pin cushion but could not find anything I wanted commercially. I search online for free patterns but still couldn’t find what I wanted, until I found one to wear on your thumb. I modified it to wear on my wrist by enlarging the base square and adding an elastic strap. I’m really happy with how it turned out – I even made one for my Mum who is a keen quilter. (She loved it.) I’m seen here wearing her’s which is too big for me – mine’s a little smaller.

Wow! What a great idea – I can imagine this would be very handy (I’m constantly reaching and scrambling for my pin cushion).
