In my first attempt at making a wrap dress, I used McCall’s 5314. I made a few petite alterations and achieved a rather nice fit. Hemming the circle skirt, however, is still not on my list of mastered skills! I also made a coordinating suede bag. More discussion, details, and photos on my blog: Style Me Mary
For the dress, I used a lightweight, woven polyester. Next time, I’d like to try a silk jersey for that Diane von Furstenberg look.
For the bag, I used a durable faux suede embellished with African lace. The shoulder strap is adorned with large ceramic beads.
