This was a very interesting pattern to me, and I needed a new challenge..
I have used stretch denim and red cotton. I had to wash the fabric before sewing to avoid discoloration next time I wash it.
I decided to use red piping for the pocket flaps and red fabric for the welt pockets as well, and I think it was a good choice together with the embroidery. I made some flowers with 3-times stitches and cut away the denim fabric so that the red fabric shows. I have used this technic before on another project; www.burdastyle.com/projects/top-and-trousers
The skirt is made of crinkle cotton and I have only made a tube with rubber band in the waist. I think it’s a great summer outfit :)
