Wrap Me In Comfort Day Dress

Added Dec 23, 2011

Leeds, United Ki...

Self drafted pattern – as usual.
This was actually my first attempt to use my overlocker on jersey fabric.
And I made this dress twice. The first time I was not fully satisfied with it, so I took it apart, added darts, pleated instead of gathering, reattached the belt (probably even inverted the side).

The dress is sooooo comfy :) Viscose fabric makes it so soft and lets the skin breathe. I can’t wait for spring to wear it.
Some may say it looks like a dressing gown, BUT with right accessories it is going to be an outstanding outfit :)

Material Notes

Vescose Jersey

Wish I could sew something like this! Makes me drool from the cuteness. Love the femininity.

I love polka dots and wrap dresses. Yours is gorgeous! I made one in purple with white polka dots and shared it some time ago.

I think this is so beautiful! Like Diane Von Furtsenberg said, “feel like a woman, wear a dress”! So gorgeous.

Yep, just lovely. How was the viscose to work with?

It is amazingly easy :) it stretches the way you think it would, it falls the way you expect it to, and while stitching it – it kinda even aligns itself for perfect results… :D

I love wrap dresses, you can dress them up or down and either way be really comfy. I have a similar cotton jersey but with bigger red dots that I have marked for something similar!

I think every woman should have a wrap dress of some sort, it is indeed very feminine :)
