Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Little did I know that when Project Runway stylists complain about how hard it is to make pants, they are NOT EXAGGERATING IT ONE BIT. I am taking this sewing+pattern making course for novices and have just finished my very first pair of pants. OMG. Having weekly classes only, it took me over a month to design and perfect this pair. During the process I promised myself not to make me pants ever again and just buy them in stores, but now that they are done I can’t help but dream about what else I can make with just small changes to the pattern. I am so happy with this! I finished the pair last Sunday and today is probably the 3rd time I’ve worn them so far. YAY for sewing!

Lovely fit! As much as you are tired from making them, you will be disappointed when what you buy in the store won’t fit you so perfectly.

Nice work! I just did a class to perfect a trouser pattern for myself. I’ll be sewing up a practice pair this weekend :)

Yeah, I was lucky I had an instructor to help me out, I never would have guessed how to adjust them if it wasn’t for her… Maybe you can find someone to consult, too! =)
