They are really easy to make to be honest I had never made one before. But I have just got the bag making bible by Lisa Lam, and one of the first projects was a lined pencil case. I made my own pattern and just played about with design.

Thanks Mary for your post, I kept the designs really simple as working with leather can be tricky. But I love decorative pattern so you can get a bit carried away.
