I got a Kindle 3G for Christmas and decided to have a go at making accessories for my new gadget.
The sleeve started as a Kindle case, but the amount of fabric just wasn’t right.
I quilted the woollen fabric with batting before making an appliqué out of some Chinese patterned polyester. I used the same fabric as lining for the sleeve, and I’m happy with the result, as this sleeve fits nicely in my small purse. The lining was hand-stitched at the opening of the sleeve after sewing the lining together with the outer fabric at the bottom.
Wool, batting, contrasting fabric for lining, contrasting thread for quilting.
