Description

I made this skirt for a friend of mine. She wanted one after seeing the one I made for myself. She picked out the fabric (wool herringbone) and buttons. She also wanted it to sit quite high on her waist, more around her ribcage. I omitted the elastic waist, added a plain waistband and some back darts and left off the bottom band. Really loving this version.
I also found that adding a hook and eye inside that waistband helped the closure look less sloppy.

The zipper looks reaaaally long but I like your alterations. Much more wearable than the original.

I agree about the zipper. Will have to change that if I make another. Thanks!

I like it! It almost looks like a trench coat into a skirt. Really creative!
