Pattern ‘E’ from Stylish Dress Book 1 ‘Wear With Freedom’. Shortened to a tunic and narrowed at the sides (because the wool was too thick to carry off all the extra floaty fabric allowance. I love this top. It may in fact be the most favourite thing I have made so far. It works for Spring and with a long sleeved top underneath will work for colder times. The pattern came together so easily (more easily than I expected) and all the pieces fitted together perfectly. Even the sleeves just slotted right in – so good!
striped brown and cream tweedy type wool.

Your top is lovely and one of the first I have seen made up from this great little pattern book. No wonder it is your favourite top and I agree with you, it is going to be very versatile.
