I found this gorgeous green jersey wool on the remnant table for a steal, there was just over a yard left . Lucky for me, the 5’1" woman, that was enough to squeeze out a dress. It took my a while to decide exactly what I wanted to do with it, but Danielle seemed like a classic and very useful dress, so I decided on that.
I skipped the zipper and used a stretch stitch, giving me just enough leeway to slip the dress over my shoulders. It’s outrageously comfortable.
Green wool jersey.

LOVE the colour! It looks great on you; very tailored looking yet still casual. You made me want to make this dress.

This really is lovely – I am totally in love with that green – and am always in favor of skipping a zip!!! Looks comfy too – and practical – you can dress it up or down.

Love the dress, love the color, love the way it fits you! You’re lucky to be able to make dresses out of small pieces of fabric! I’m 5’9,5"!

I really like this, you have completely changed my opinion on the Danielle, I never would have even looked at making it before seeing your project!

I had never considered it either, but without the sleeves in a beautiful solid color it really made such a fantastically classic basic. Plus it’s super easy to make! It only took me about 3 hours to put together!

Very very nice – it’s funny, I was just trying to figure out how much fabric would be needed to make this without sleeves! Thank you for including that useful bit of information.

You lucky lady! I have a friend who is tiny like you and she needs like 1 yard to make a gown! I can barely make a couple of sleeves with the same quantity! You look stunning in this dress. (looks like you feel amazing in it) Love the colour and the tailoring, the fabric looks well-made even in a photo. Stunner colour on you!

Thank you! I do always feel a little smug when I leave the fabric store with a mere yard of fabric. It can literally pay to be short sometimes, hehe.
