Description

This is one of the things I have upcycled for the Cornucopia festival that my class is working on next month. This was made from a skirt in size 12 (I made the pattern on Ai using Aldrich).

It’s reversible because the skirt was lined and so is the top. It has a lace up back which adds a bit of ease for getting the top on and off.

I don’t have a zigzag eyelet on my sewing machine so I made 10 fairly short buttonholes. As it turned out, that is probably best because I laced the top with ribbon.

I tried to line this completely by machine, but I forgot how and the underarms where too awkward a shape to sew like that, so I did those by hand. It took me days to sew because of those difficulties (and I’m learning French, which takes ages).

Material Notes

1 skirt about knee length — a size or more bigger than you would be best.
