I started a new project based on the idea of travel bags.
She’s tiny, carefully crafted and hand painted.
I started by choosing a rectangular box, 26 inches long and 21 inches tall
Then I illustrated lines, shapes .. sketches inspired by art nouveau style.
I took the drawing and I engrav everywhere I soo outlined. This trick is used for painting on wood and especially to the icons .
For he first layer of color, I chose black for his elegance and simplicity that’s offer.
I took the basic black well-prepared, and make new limits to the color. I always start with large spots, background and apply several coats of color from light shades to dark shades and well defined, and the light and bright accents effect.
A useful thing that I keep in my mind is that I respect the drying time, so I work simultaneously to two or more parts of painting.
After I had painted the characters, I start the linear art nouveau style.
Step by step I built a network as a canvas that supports the dynamic forms but also the color.
Line used is the curve, wanting them to capture sensuality by tortuosity and complexity of style in 1900.
Decorative shape also accentuates this style, both in opacity and by delimiting the full and empty space.
And the color used are the contrast blue orange and the resulting shading turquoise ocher , reddish brown with derivatives.
The liner is easy to do as long as you visualize the shape of the object that you have.
So I started with a rectangular base, I sealed the edges with the iron and backing … more reinforcement, and then we built sides, one small and one large.
It took some work .. was developed and the results are as.
In retrospect I drew, etched, colored, painted .. I padded and assembled now, here’s what I made :)
