I had some leftover Oscar de la Renta (thanks Moods), and was wondering what to do… As my late experiences doing Burda’s pattern had resulted in drama, I was into drawing an easy pattern. Although I am not a fashion follower but I like the circle skirts, everywhere in Madrid these days, I thought it an easy to do pattern and quite flattering one.
It took me a couple of days to finish it, and as I do not have a serger I did the endings with black bias tape, which I find quite “stylish” and more “tailorly” (whatever…). The waistband was made out of a piece of false leather skirt.I am pretty proud about the result, though I do recognise I did some mistakes due to the hurry and anxiety I felt about wearing this item….. I tried my best not to show the spoilt areas :))
Wool, bias tape, fake leather.
