New York, New Yo...
How much did you love Wonder Woman when you were a kid? Didn’t you wish you could wear a red, blue and gold onesie just like Linda Carter? Lucky for my kid, I’m into sewing swimsuits this summer, so she got my a Wonder Woman bathing suit of her very own for her sixth birthday. I used a basic girls swimsuit pattern as the base for building my WW pattern, cutting it into three pieces: the bottom, the belt and the top (adding seam allowances, of course). The golden “eagle” I drafted by hand and machine appliqued on (backed by several layers of wash-away stabilizer). I even made a matching circle skirt for an apres-pool cover-up. The results: pretty super, if I say so myself. See more on my blog
I used three different spandex fabrics from Spandex House, plus swimwear lining and swimwear elastic.
