Yet another Alabama Chanin corset top, hand-sewn to the last detail. I made this a while back but just never found time to photograph and post. It uses the bloom stencil that came with the book as well the pattern for the corset that among Natalie Chanin followers is cheekily called “Wonder Alabama” because of its ability to give you figure flattering shape and what woman doesn’t want that. If you look closely at the top right leaf, you’ll see the embroidered words “Physical Therapy.” I used my sister’s old gray promotional shirt from work and a very sturdy black cotton knit with brown thread. The skirt is an old project using the same reverse applique technique.

I just wanted to say that I love the whole outfit! The top looks fantastic with the embroidery. It looks so meticulously done. The skirt looks amazing with the texture it acquired after being appliqed!
